Part 2 of 3: Happy B-day Nicole

Well first things first...HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SIS! We love you and are so happy you came to visit us. You should come again. We have lots we didn't get to do. Logan wants you to take you to this really cool hike we went on. Schedule us in to your busy schedule.

Yesterday I got both boys to take a nap and jumped on the opportunity to blog. But I couldn't get my pictures to upload. I tried and tried and tried. Then I gave up and had to blog this morning. So here is part 2 of 3...

Nicole came to spend the weekend with us after her tennis camp. She and Aaron "duked" it out on the court. To be honest, I am not sure who won. But she is getting pretty good. One night we went to park that has a big stream running through due to the spring run-off. The water was freezing. Logan didn't seem to mind. We had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't get too cold--are blue lips a bad thing?

Nicole and Aaron racing along the stream. Aaron had an advantage with his tall legs.

They also had a contest to see who could get the most of their body in the water. Nicole won that contest by dunking her head. She got a brain freeze.

Logan got really tired and just wanted to snuggle. I love it when he will sit still long enough to snuggle. Snuggle time is becoming rare as he gets more active.

Independence Day

I love playing with sparklers on the 4th of July and couldn't wait to let Logan get his hands on them. However the store was out of them when we went to get some. They had this other type so I thought what the heck and bought them. WOW! These were SPARKLERS. Uncle Chris helped Logan light one. We got the standard sparks but then to our surprise it started to shoot out sparks. We had to quickly point the shooting sparks away from Chris's goatee. Logan thought they were SO cool.

BBQing with Chris and Sara is always a blast. Sara made this really yummy dessert that is a tradition in Chris's family. I think it should become a tradition in the Bennion household. I just need to get the recipe.

One long morning of just tinkering around the house, we decided to go hiking that afternoon. Aaron and I really wanted to find a new place to hike with kids. We heard about a hike that goes to a waterfall and some natural hot springs. So we decided to scout out the trail.

Granola Bars Rock!

Taylor looks grumpy in this picture. He really was such a trooper the whole hike.

Logan and Aaron played in the hot springs and cooled off in the river.

We loved this hike and really want to take Nicole on it (Hint Hint Nicole).
