After Colby and Kayla’s wedding the festivities continued that following Monday with Grandpa and Grandma’s Halloween Party. The day started off with a trip to Grandma’s Pumpkin Patch in search of the perfect pumpkin to carve. Nathan was awesome at finding lots of pumpkins. Katie and Ivy help put the pumpkins in the car. We picked a lot of pumpkins.

I don’t have a picture of the final pumpkin masterpieces. Nathan and I were going to carve a sea monster but seriously not creative Aunt Kenzie didn’t know how to carve one so we settled on a scary ghost instead-much easier to carve. After the carving activity we greeted the guest with our rockin’ costumes. Colby and Kayla decked out as Woody and Jesse. Nathan was Buzz Lightyear. Katie was a Witch kitty.

Halloween is never complete if you don't run into some witches. Nicole, Faith, and Katie took it upon themselves to fulfil this honored role.

Kudos to Paige for coming up with this costume. Kalob is a train worker, Carter is Sir Topham Hatt, Brett is the tracks, and Paige is the steam from the engine.
Grandma was "Julian" and Grandpa was "The Biggest Loser" but they slipped away before the camera could catch them.

My butterfly costume didn't fly so well that night so thanks to Grandpa and Grandma's dress up drawer I quickly recovered and became Dopey while Logan is sporting his rebellious side as an inmate. His handcuffs were left at home-oops.

We met Uncle Levi (costume:poor college student) at the Hertiage Farms for a night of spooks and fun. We rode the not so haunted train ride. Nicole was disappointed because last year the train ride was haunted and
very scary. Kalob was on cloud nine. The conductor let him sit in her seat and "drive" the train. She made his whole day.

Part of the group the could fit in the camera shot. Yeah for the train!

A horse of course. All the little kids got to ride the ponies except Logan and Carter. They were just having fun watching. Plus the worker didn't have a helmet big enough for the two.

Please stand clear of the launch pad. Launching the gourds was pretty cool if you ask me. Can't you tell by the look on Nathan's face. This was serious business. Tyce gathered the gourds for us to launch and we had fun trying to see who's gourd of course could go the farest.

The little kid hay maze was pretty easy from a bird's eyeview but Kalob and Katie took a little bit to find their way out. They finally just walked on top of the hale bales until Grandma and Logan came and helped them find their way out.

While the little kids were in their haymaze the big kids went next door to the blackout maze. Inside the maze it was completely dark. I can not confirm nor deny any running into the haybales while inside the maze. Everyone found their way out. Nathan and Colby thought they would be funny and scare those inside the maze. Colby got put into timeout at the giant pirate ship made out of hay. They were really pretty detailed ships. When we tried to put Nathan in to timeout he just laughed and ran away to the other ship. A huge battle followed.

The giant slide was a favorite of Ivy's and Kalob's. Ivy even went as far as to warm up to anyone who would take her down the slide. At dusk we entered the big kid cornmaze. Logan and Ivy went with Grandma and Grandpa (who had the map to the maze). Levi was the only one to find his way on his own. What the rest of us thought was the exit turned out to not be the point of exit. This made for some very confusing times inside the maze. Imagine you thought you were going to exit at one corner and kept trying to work your way over there when the exit turns out to be on the opposite side of the maze. Augh! Here is Logan at the end of a great night. Okay for those who want to know the truth scroll down.
Faith, Nicole, Katie, and I were trying to find our way through the maze when I got a call from Tyce. I pick up to hear Logan screaming bloody murder in the background. He wasn't a happy camper anymore. So I made my own little exit path through the corn while proclaiming "My BABY." It was pretty funny. Logan was tired and ready to go home. Our wonderful festivities were cut a little short due to bed time for the tired inmate. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for a scary, silly, fun filled night.
