Aaron the Energizer Bunny

I haven't had time to blog about Aaron's haircut a month ago. Even before we got married Aaron wanted to see what he would look like if he ever balded -especially since he has one brother losing it in the front and the other in the back(: I have been putting it off for two years now. But after his constant asking I agreed to shave his head just to shut him up! This picture is about a week after we cut it. Aaron has been growing it back out and we think he looks much better with hair. Don't worry though we both agreed that he wouldn't keep the shave as a permanent thing. Only if he starts to bald will I let him shave his head again!

Aaron had last Saturday off and it was actually good weather. We laugh because whenever Aaron doesn't have to work, it always seems to rain or we have bad weather. So Aaron and I took Logan on his first hike. Back in September we bought a hiking backpack to put Logan in. I mean this is a super-duty kid carrying machine...complete with a waterslide (: (Emperor's New Groove in case you forgot and didn't get my cheesy joke) We were only going to hike to the "Y" but when we got there Logan was doing so good that we continued on to try and conquer "Y" mountain.

Two hours later and hiking through mud/snow fields we were determined to make it to the top which we could see up ahead. However the snow became deeper and every other step we sunk knee deep. Logan woke-up and started to cry. He was getting cold thanks to the wind that was picking up. We decided to be that responsible parents and turn around. Aaron took Logan wrapped him in my nursing cover (which is really thin), held him to his chest, and practically ran down the ravine to Bear Meadow.

I stopped to feed Logan in the meadow. These two girls that were with us up in the snow field came back down and passed us in the meadow. They told us we were less than 100 yards from the top. Oh well I guess we will have to go later when the snow is gone. I heard this is a really pretty hike to do in the fall time with all the leaves.

Overall Logan did amazing in the backpack. On the way home Aaron bought me a slurpee! He owed me one because the day before I went on a 8.5 mile run and my legs were already kind of tired from that. Then he went and dragged me up a mountain which we didn't even make it to the top. My legs were ready to kill over and die by the time we got back. To top that off when we got home and Logan was napping Aaron turns to me and says "Kenzie, Do you want to go and play tennis later?" I very firmly said "NO!"
