Pizza Pies & Mud Pies

One lovely afternoon, which has been rare with the weather lately, Logan and I could not decide on what to make for dinner that evening. Time went by and before we knew it 6:25pm has rolled around. Still clueless of what to make Daddy came home. Then Logan had the brilliant idea of picking up a pizza and heading to the park for some swinging fun. That sounded okay to Aaron and I so off we went. Aaron was super fast at getting us our pizza from the pizza place. Logan and I didn't even get to find out what happens to the last 3 monkeys who keep jumping on their beds before Daddy was back with the goods in tow.
At the park, Logan make a break for the swings. After some chasing we settled down to enjoy our feast. The aroma of the baked goodness hit us in the face as we opened the lid but to our great astonishment....there indeed was a slice of pizza. JUST ONE SLICE. The pizza guy forgot to cut the pizza into lots of slices. The funny things was that they were not busy enough to forget to cut a pizza. Oh well. We got a good laugh. Aaron claimed the one slice.
I wish I could say that my diaper bag was the Mary Poppins of all diaper bags but alas I was fresh out of pizza cutters. We came up with an idea. Did you know that all those gift cards sitting in your wallet can double as a pizza cutter? Now you know.We loved swinging!!!!

We love swinging so much that at home Logan drags his swing out of his room and puts it next to the front door.

Hooray for Taylor

Grandpa Duff, Grandma Monica, Levi, Nicole, Colby and Kayla called to have a slumber party with Logan. But when push came to shove Logan had a "slumber party" in our room while they took over his room and the living room. It was really fine. Logan kicked Taylor out of the pack n play and Taylor got the boot to sleeping in a laundry basket for one night. Here is a picture of our little trooper in his "crib."

Another lovely afternoon while Daddy was at school Logan and I went outside for a walk and ended up making mud pies. In the field by our place was a huge I mean huge puddle. Actually it should be described as a Logan sized swimming pool. I gave up trying to keep him from the water and stripped him down to the diaper and let him go at it. He loved it. He threw rocks in the puddle, splashed, made mud pies, and did all the fun stuff a little boy does with mud/water. Taylor and I just hung out by the side and watched. Here are some after pictures because I don't carry my camera everywhere with me. The nice thing about the puddle was it helped wash some of the mud off.

See I told you it was a huge puddle.
